Five Years of ARCA: Anniversary Celebrations in Amsterdam
What to expect
Five years of bold flavours, shared plates and evenings worth celebrating. Join us from Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 November as ARCA Restaurant & Bar marks its fifth anniversary with returning dessert favourites and the launch of our new winter menu. Discover modern Portuguese dining with Asian influences at our restaurant opposite Amsterdam Central Station, and make a night of it.

The return of our dessert icons
Some favourites deserve an encore. Available only during our anniversary week, the ARCA Icons dessert menu brings back three much-loved creations: the iconic Chocolate Mousse (2021), traditional Portuguese Pão de Ló (2023) and our Cauliflower Tart with green curry ice cream (2025), awarded Dessert of the Year by Gault&Millau. Revisit a favourite or discover something unexpected, available from 3–7 November.
5 November: Birthday celebrations and new dishes
Our anniversary takes centre stage on Thursday 5 November, when Henrique Sá Pessoa and head chef Gonçalo Alpalhão launch ARCA’s new winter dishes. Expect new dishes alongside familiar favourites, bringing together Portuguese traditions, Asian influences and the flavour combinations that make ARCA our own.
A new winter menu at ARCA Amsterdam
Launching from 5 November, our winter menu brings the warmth of Portugal to Amsterdam with new dishes including:
• Lírio — cured yellowtail with wasabi escabeche, roasted beetroot and pickled Granny Smith apple.
• Tártaro de Atum — yellowfin tuna tartare with kombu-noisette hollandaise and crispy rice.
• Caldeirada de Tamboril — monkfish in a lemongrass-infused caldeirada sauce with sweet potato and bok choy.
4 November: Friends of ARCA Community Event
A restaurant is more than its cuisine. The anniversary is therefore also about the people who have been part of the ARCA story over the past five years: regular guests, partners, suppliers and friends of the house. During our invite-only Friends of ARCA community event, this community will come together to toast to five years of gastronomy, hospitality and special encounters with drinks, bites & a raffle.
